After taking home an Oscar for Best Picture, "Moonlight" is coming back to 1,500 theaters this weekend. While "Moonlight" has been in theaters for 20 weeks now, it was only played in 1,104 theaters. In comparison, "La La Land" at its biggest release played in nearly 3,240 theaters around the nation. "Moonlight" holds the second lowest record of ticket sales for a Best Picture winner, the Times reported. The film, which cost $1.5 million to make, brought in a total of $22.1 million from U.S. theaters.
