Trump accuses Obama of tapping his phones pre-election
  • 7 years ago
President Trump accused Barack Obama of tapping his phones at the Trump Tower headquarters right before the election, invoking "Nixon/Watergate." Trump suggested that the 44th president intentionally meddled in the election in order to sway the final results. The president didn't offer any evidence to back up his claims. "President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false," Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for Obama, said in a statement.
