Amazon server error issue fixed, websites running normally again

Amazon Web Services posted a message Tuesday around 2:40 p.m that indicated their S3 cloud storage system is back up and running. Many websites experienced widespread outages on Tuesday afternoon after portions of Amazon's web servers went offline. Amazon Web Services' S3 cloud storage experienced "high error rates" that have caused chaos among many of the sites that depend on AWS to work. AWS provides cloud-based storage and web services for companies so that they don’t have to build their own server farms, allowing them to rapidly deploy computing power without having to invest in infrastructure.
