Laozi's 'Tao Te Ching' carved on 5,000 stones to commemorate his birthday

An impressive video has emerged from China of Chinese Taoist writer Laozi's book “Tao Te Ching” carved on 5,000 stones to commemorate his birthday.

The footage, filmed in Jiyuan, Henan Province on Saturday, shows workers setting up the 5,000 carved stones in order.

The stone-carved “Tao Te Ching” is expected to be 101-metre long and 8.1-metre high.

The project should be finished before Laozi's birthday on March 12.
