President Donald Trump and Melania Will Not Watch the Oscars
  • 7 years ago
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania won’t be too interested in who takes home the Oscar for best, well, anything, because according to the White House, Mr. President won’t be tuning in.

Us Magazine reports that Sean Spicer addressed the question of whether or not President Trump would tune into the 89th Annual Academy Awards, and he replied by saying “I think Hollywood is known for being rather far to the left in its opinions, and I’ve got to be honest with you, I think the president will be hosting the Governor’s Ball that night.”

So while Hollywood’s elite get glammed up for the big event, it seems President Trump and Melania will have their own plans… After all, Trump has voiced his disapproval of the Oscars in the past, far before ever stepping into the White House.

In 2014, he Tweeted, “This is amateur night – who the hell is in charge of this production?”… “I don’t know how much longer I can take this bullshit – so terrible!”

And in 2015, he Tweeted, “The Oscars are a sad joke, very much like our President. So many things are wrong.”

In 2017, some Oscar winners might have a few things to say about President Trump… He won’t be watching, but we’re sure he’ll hear about it.
