Bud, deprived of TV when it breaks down during his favorite western, wanders around the attic like a lost soul. He stumbles across an old model train for kids, which changes his life! He starts assembling milk cartons and cereal boxes, and builds an entire miniature city, full of all sorts of insects. In fact, Bud has so much fun playing with them that he decides to join in. A quick turn in the SMTV, and out he pops: miniature-sized! Everybody calls him Sheriff, everything seems perfect, in other words Bud is HAPPY! He even falls in Love with a capital L… but life out West, even in mini-Frontier land, is pretty risky…

Four strange aliens from a distant galaxy have crash landed on earth. Quickly realizing they could end up as lab rats, they seek refuge in the attic of an empty house, only to find that the house is for rent!
