Rugby Europe Championship round-up | Germany and Georgia get wins
  • 7 years ago
The 2017 Rugby Europe Championship first round gave us one surprise with Germany coming from behind to beat Romania (41-38) for the first time since 1938. Georgia also beat newly-promoted Belgium in Brussels in front of a near sell-out crowd at the Stade Roi Baudouin. Full-back Merab Kvirikashvili, flanker Giorgi Tkhilaishvili and centre Giorgi Koshadze all got on the scoresheet in the 31-6 victory.
