It kind of sounds like Katy Perry just picked a fight with Britney Spears.

Here’s what happened:

During her red carpet arrival at the 59th annual Grammy Awards, the Roar singer stopped for a chat with Ryan Seacrest and seemingly took a shot at Spers when explaining the reason for her break between albums.

Katy said it’s called taking care of your mental health… and when pressed further about how she was doing during her time away, Katy put her foot in her mouth and said “fantastic”… before adding “and she hasn’t even shaved her head”.

While she didn’t come out and say it out right, it’s a pretty clear shot at Britney Spears and her very rough 2007 – when she famously shaved her head, had a psychiatric breakdown, and went to rehab.

And because the internet is great at calling people out, fans immediately took to Twitter to remind Katy that joking about mental health is never a good idea. They even started the hashtag: Katy Perry Is Over Party.

Perry has yet to address the controversy.
