Carrie Underwood Takes Hiatus to Focus on Family

Don’t worry, Carrie Underwood is going to make new music again… Some day.
The country superstar just needs a hiatus. She reportedly spoke to People and Entertainment Weekly at the Grammy Awards, and said, “We just wrapped up the Storyteller Tour and I feel like my life right now, creatively, is kind of a blank space.”
Basically, it sounds like Carrie is passionate about what she puts out and doesn’t want the next batch of music to be anything less than epic.
She tells People, “I’m nervous because I want whatever I do next to be amazing, so I’m taking a little break right now and being a mom and being a wife and going to see some hockey games to see my husband play. I’m kind of waiting for lightning to strike and go: ‘Okay, it’s time to great creative and work on new music!’”
Fortunately, Carrie has enough hits under her belt where she’s already electric, so lightening should find her pretty quickly.
In the meantime, watch for her pounding on the glass at hockey games.
