WHERE IS MY GRANDCHILD?

As many as 30,000 people disappeared during the military dictatorship in Argentina from 1976 to 1983. Some of those taken were young pregnant women who were kept alive until they gave birth. An estimated 500 of their babies were then given to couples who were, in many cases, sympathetic to the regime. Our short documentary, “Where is my Grandchild?” follows the nearly four-decade struggle of the Grandmothers or Abuelas of the Plaza de Mayo to find out what had happened to their disappeared children and the grandchildren who had been stolen at birth.
