Kellyanne Conway gave Ivanka Trump’s fashion line some free advertising on Thursday morning.
Conway, speaking remotely with 'Fox & Friends' from the White House press briefing room, characterized Ivanka as, “a champion for women empowerment, women in the workplace.”
She then urged watchers to, “go buy Ivanka’s stuff.”
Conway continued, “I hate shopping, and I’m gonna go get some on myself today.”
She also commented, “This is just wonderful line. I own some of it...I’m going to give a free commercial here. Go buy it today, everybody. You can find it online.”
The endorsement comes one day after President Trump took to Twitter to blast Nordstrom for ending its relationship with the Ivanka Trump brand.
He wrote, “My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!”
The department store has stated that the decision was just business.
A spokesperson for Nordstrom told Business Insider, “Each year we cut about 10% [of brands carried] and refresh our assortment with about the same amount. In this case, based on the brand's performance we've decided not to buy it for this season."
