Two-headed mutant kitten born in China. Aww, how cute?

SHENYANG, CHINA — A pet owner from China got quite the surprise recently when his cat gave birth to a litter of kittens, including a mutant with two heads.

The little guy has three eyes and two mouths, according to the state-run People’s Daily. Experts told the newspaper there is a one-in-a-million chance of mutations like this occurring, and it could be due to radiation, infection or medicine.

The cat’s owner, Xiao Wei, reportedly called the kitten Akamaru, from the popular Naruto anime series (Akamaru’s actually a frickin’ dog, but live and let live, as they say).

Xiao told Chinese state media that he would never sell Akamaru, adding that he hopes the cat grows up to be healthy.
