Report: Brexit will cut 30,000 finance jobs

Brussels-based research group Bruegel found that Brexit may put as many as 30,000 U.K. jobs at risk, particularly related to finance. London could lose 10,000 banking jobs as well as 20,000 roles in accounting, law and consulting, as EU clients relocate 1.8 trillion euros. Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, and Dublin are predicted to be making the most gains, the think tank found. The analysis is based on the idea that the U.K. will depart the single market, as PM Theresa May’s outlined in her Brexit plans.
