The New England Patriots join the growing list of NFL teams using VR

The next generation of training has dawned upon the NFL with the arrival of virtual reality.
The Patriots — who beat the Falcons 38-24 at Super Bowl 51 — are one of six teams now using a VR training system designed by Palo Alto startup StriVR.
The others include the Cowboys, Vikings and Cardinals.
The system is looked at as a better way to study film and designed to enhance the vision of quarterbacks through 360-degree video.
The Patriots became the third team to sign up with StriVR back in mid-2015.
The system, which was inspired by the work done at Stanford's VR lab, received a welcomed endorsement from Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana back in January when the ex-49er said he wished he'd had VR in his heyday.
