Twenty-one tourists from the Chinese mainland were injured after a double-decker tour bus crashed into a pier of an overpass in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, on Saturday morning, according to local media reports.

All the injured people have been hospitalized, three with more serious injuries, the reports said.

The bus carried altogether 26 passengers, including seven children, all from east China’s Zhejiang Province.

A surveillance camera footage shows the vehicle wedged under the bridge.

The driver said he was not familiar with the route and didn't notice the height limit sign.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
