Tesla Motors officially changes its name

Tesla Motors is officially changing its name to "Tesla Inc." Elon Musk initially tweeted about the name change last year, before shortening the website domain from teslamotors.com to just tesla.com. The decision to remove "Motors" from the company's name comes as Tesla pushes forward their battery business. In October, Musk announced that Tesla will build solar roof roofs to replace solar panels. The company also intends to expand into the ride-sharing business later this year.
