Hawaii Again Takes Top Spot In Gallup’s US Well-Being Poll

Gallup and Healthways recently surveyed Americans about a number of factors that impact well-being, and, once again, Hawaiians reported the highest levels of good health and overall satisfaction.

Gallup and Healthways recently surveyed Americans about a number of factors that impact well-being, and, once again, Hawaiians reported the highest levels of good health and overall satisfaction.
This is the 6th time the state has taken the number 1 spot, a poll record. 
Alaska ranks 2nd followed by South Dakota, Maine, and Colorado in 3rd through 5th, respectively.
Vermont takes the 6th slot.
Rounding out the top 10 are, in order, Arizona, Montana, Minnesota, and Texas. 
The poll was conducted throughout 2016 and involved 177,000 participants. 
They were asked questions about their sense of community, social lives, financial matters, sense of purpose, and physical health.
States reporting the lowest levels of well-being are, from 48th to 50th, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
