'Life is winning again in America' as Pence joins pro-lifers in DC

This year’s event had special significance as the crowd celebrated Trump’s election and his announcement that he has revived a ban on foreign aid to overseas health organisations, which provide abortion counseling or arrange abortions.

Vice-President Mike Pence, a stalwart of the March for Life movement, became the highest-ranking politician to attend the rally:“Today, three generations hence, because of all of you and the many thousands who stand with us in marches like this all across the nation life is winning again in America.’‘

Trump has further boosted pro-life morale by vowing to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat by an anti-abortion justice.

In addition the 45 th president has said he will strip American reproductive health care provider Planned Parenthood of funding as it provides abortions as part of its services.
