Hugo Barra is joining Facebook to lead the company's virtual reality business, including VR firm Oculus, which was acquired in 2014. CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement on Facebook, saying Barra will head all of Facebook's VR efforts. The decision to appoint Barra as the vice president of virtual reality is believed to influenced by his exposure in China's market. Experts said Barra could help bring a more international feel to Oculus. Barra announced earlier this week that he is moving back to Silicon Valley after he left his role at Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi.
