James Comey to stay on as Trump's FBI director

FBI director James Comey reportedly confirmed that he will be staying on the job under President Donald Trump. Comey was appointed by Barack Obama in 2013 for a 10-year term, but his position was later questioned after his probe into Hillary Clinton. The Justice Department inspector general opened an investigation into Comey and the FBI's handling of Clinton's email server probe. During his campaign trail, Trump criticized the FBI for not bringing criminal charges against Clinton. Following the election results, Trump said he had not made up his mind about whether he would request that Comey resign.
