UK Supreme Court: 'Brexit' talks can't start without parliament

The United Kingdom Supreme Court ruled that Theresa May must consult the Parliament before beginning exit talks. The ruling puts a set back to May's initial goal of beginning exit negotiations by the end of March, in order for Britain to leave the European Union. While most lawmakers advocated staying in the European Union, it is unlikely that legislators would reject the referendum vote. The decision came as a surprise to the government, Britain’s attorney general Jeremy Wright noted.
