Ticket prices for Super Bowl LI reaching record highs

Ticket prices for Super Bowl LI, which pits the New England Patriots against the Atlanta Falcons, are approaching record highs as demand from Falcons fans, coupled with a relatively low inventory, has the average listing price on the secondary ticket market at about $6,000. "The biggest surprise is the demand in Georgia," StubHub spokesperson Cameron Papp told USA TODAY Sports. "Yesterday's playoff game in Atlanta had the most tickets sold for any non-Super Bowl playoff game in terms to tickets sold in StubHub history." Roughly 1,500 seats were available as of Monday afternoon eastern time, which means this could be the lowest inventory of tickets available for a Super Bowl this decade. One possible reason is the amount of packages sold on the league's official site, NFL on Location, which offers ticket bundles that currently range in price from $7,249 to $12,749, each with features such as pre-game parties, concerts and transportation.
