Internet Thinks DoD's Tweet On Social Media Could Be Veiled Reference To Trump

The U.S. Department of Defense has posted a tweet about social media and mental health, and some are claiming it could be a veiled reference to President Trump.

The U.S. Department of Defense, or DoD, has posted a tweet about social media and mental health, and some are claiming it could be a veiled reference to President Trump, reports The Hill.
On Monday, the agency wrote on its Twitter account, “Social media postings sometimes provide an important window into a person’s #mentalhealth. Know what to look for.”
In response, some users have responded with jabs at Trump who is known for his extensive use of Twitter and has had issues with the intelligence community in the past.
One person wrote, “I love subtle tweets directed at @POTUS.”
Another noted, “@DeptofDefense have you look at the posts by your Commander in Chief? @potus needs immediate help.”
Meanwhile, others predicted potential censorship including a response which asked, “how long until you all have to delete this?"
However, the DoD post appears to be earnest, with a link to research about social media platforms and their usefulness in mental health situations.
In fact, the piece concludes by noting the DoD is involved in, “efforts to translate and implement suicide prevention research findings in a rapid and culturally relevant manner.” The department has been trying to raise awareness about mental health issues since before the election, with a 2015 article encouraging troops to get help as needed.
