Chinese manufacturing company Foxconn expressed interest in opening a factory based in the U.S., that could create hundreds of thousands of jobs. Foxconn is considering investing $7 billion to build the new factory specializing in assembling flat panel screens. The plant may even be a joint investment with Apple, given that Foxconn currently runs the largest iPhone factory in the world in China. Apple is willing to invest in the facility together because they need the [panels] as well," said Gou according to the Nikkei Asian Review. It is predicted that the new factory could bring anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 new jobs.
