Ship Sinking News Scene | For Your Eyes Only (1981)

The news of British intelligence service vessel St. Georges' sinking soon spreads among the top heads of British and Soviet high officials. St. Georges was equipped with 'Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator' (ATAC), the system used by the Ministry of Defence to communicate with and co-ordinate the Royal Navy's fleet of Polaris submarines. Here in this clip, British Defence Minister Sir Frederick Gray and MI6 Chief of Staff Bill Tanner is seen discussing the incident. They are deeply concerned about the recovery of the ATAC system.
