Does anyone remember seeing Flying in a Blue Dream to a surf video similar to this one when it originally came out? I remember it was the best music & clip I had seen for along time.
I heard the original version of this track to a video clip similar to this one. It was the first time I had heard anything by Joe Satriani & the music & video sparked my interest. I went out & bought the album & also ended up with his earlier album which is considered to be his breakthrough album 'Surfing with the alien'. Many other albums found their way into my collection, such as the early 'Not of this Earth' & post 'Flying in a Blue Dream', 'Crystal Planet' as well as many more over the years.
An interesting fact is that when Keith Richards was ill Joe stepped in & took his place on a Rolling Stones tour. This gives some extra creedence to why Joe is arguably considered one of the if not the best guitarist performing today.
