The Bruce Springsteen cover group, B-Street Band, has pulled out of playing at the Donald Trump inauguration ball. The band, which played twice before for President Obama, intially intended to play at the event, which they called a "non-partisan affair." However, following pressure from fans, the group decided to cancel their performance. “With deepest apologies to our fans and the New Jersey inaugural ball committee, the B Street Band is withdrawing from performing at this year’s inauguration gala...Our decision is based SOLELY on the respect and gratitude we have for Bruce and the E Street Band," they said in statement. Springsteen has been a critic of Donald Trump throughout his campaign trail and following the election results.
