Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez pleads guilty to tax fraud in Spain
  • 7 years ago
Arsenal's star forward Alexis Sanchez has plead guilty to tax fraud during his time playing in Spain. The Chilean hid over $1 million in earnings from image rights during his time with Barcelona. This isn't the first time a current or former Barcelona player has been found guilty of this crime. Lionel Messia and Javier Mascherano have also been found guilty. Since he has admitted guilt, Sanchez most likely will not stand trial, though he will have to pay back an additional amount of money on top of the repaid taxes. He is also unlikely to face jail time.
