Eugene Cernan, last man to walk on the moon, passes at 82

Gene Cernan, the last astronaut to leave his footprints on the surface of the moon, died Monday at 82. A cause of death was not immediately revealed. Cernan was the commander of Apollo 17 in December 1972 – the last lunar mission and one of the final Apollo flights.
