Tips to Reduce Jet Lag

Jet lag is hard to prevent -- "the truth is, for every time zone change, you need a day to recover," but there are some ways to make it more manageable in order to enjoy the most of your travels. Taking melatonin the day before your flight, on the flight, and once you arrive can help your body clock adjust. Avoiding alcohol and caffeine while mid-air is also a wise choice. It's also smart to take a quick nap when you arrive to your destination if it's in the morning or afternoon. Once you've taken a 30 minute nap be sure to get outside and do something active, like taking a walk. This should give you an energy boost that will last until bedtime.
