Moby Declines Invitation To DJ At Inaugural Ball, May Reconsider If Trump Releases Tax Returns

On Monday, Moby revealed via Instagram that he was asked to perform at one of the inaugural events but declined.

Donald Trump’s inauguration is only days away, and his team seems to be having a difficult time securing the attendance of certain high-profile guests.
On Monday, DJ Moby revealed via Instagram that he was asked to perform at one of the celebratory events.
He wrote, “Hahahahaha, I was just asked by a booking agent if I would consider djing at one of the inaugural balls for #trump...Hahahahaha, wait, Hahahaha, really? I guess I'd DJ at an inaugural ball if as payment #trump released his tax returns…So #trump what do you think, I DJ for you and you release your tax returns?"
Moby also indicated that if he were to appear, his playlist would largely consist of “…public enemy and stockhausen remixes to entertain the republicans.”
Billboard later inquired what his full roster would look like, and Moby responded by naming 27 songs.
They include Bob Marley and The Wailers', “Get Up, Stand Up,” Pete Seeger’s “We Shall Overcome,” and, as promised, “Fight The Power” by Public Enemy.
