TAMPA, FLORIDA — Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers stunned Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship game, winning 35-31 on Monday night.

Alabama scored first by going to none other than Bo Scarbrough for a 25-yard touchdown.

Scarbrough gave Bama another score, but then Watson muscled one in too before the half to pull Clemson within one touchdown.

Alabama and its tag team of Ryan Anderson and Reuben Foster pressured Watson all game long.

But then Watson got hot along with Clemson’s receiving crew. Hunter Renfrow and Williams came up with big catch after big catch, and the Tigers went up 28-24.

Jalen Hurts put it on the ground with a huge run, edging the Tide back on top 31-28.

But there would be no Clemsoning from Clemson this time, as Watson marched his team down the field and connected with Renfrow in the endzone for the winning score.

Say hello to your new national champions, the Clemson Tigers.
