Video of obese woman towed by pickup truck is no laughing matter for Kansas City pastor

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI — A Kansas City pastor felt the wrath of social media after posting a video of an obese woman in a wheelchair being towed by a pickup truck to Facebook.
The video was shared more than 11,000 times over the weekend, but Pastor Lamond Rushing felt the heat after many failed to see the funny side.
The whole saga began on Saturday when disabled woman Becky Kittrell’s power wheelchair ran out of battery on the freezing cold streets of Kansas City, Fox 4 reported.
Luckily for Becky, a Good Samaritan in a pickup truck stopped and offered to tow her home.
That’s where Pastor Rushing comes in. The flabbergasted man of God thought he was seeing a miracle and began filming on his cellphone.
Becky doesn’t have Facebook but found out she was a viral sensation when her son saw the video and told her.
Becky said that instead of filming her, the pastor could have asked if she needed any help.
Temperatures dropped as low as 7 degrees Fahrenheit in Kansas City that day and Becky just needed to find some shelter from the cold. After all, wouldn’t offering to help have been the Christian thing to do?
Pastor Rushing said he never intended to hurt Becky’s feelings. The preacherman said he’d just never seen anything like it before.
However, after reading some ungodly comments about Becky online, the pastor said he understood why people were so upset with him. He apologized for filming the video and later removed it from Facebook.
