Trump's Incoming Press Secretary Questions 'Magnitude' Of Russia Sanctions By Obama

During an ABC interview on Sunday, Sean Spicer questioned the 'magnitude' of new sanctions issued against Russia by the Obama administration.

On Thursday, the Obama administration announced various measures it is taking against Russia for its attempt to manipulate the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
They include removing 35 members of Russian intelligence from the U.S. and imposing sanctions on a variety of government-related individuals and groups.
During a Sunday interview with "This Week" on ABC News, Sean Spicer, who will serve as press secretary for the incoming administration, questioned the actions taken by the Obama administration.
Spicer said, “I think one of the questions that we have is why the magnitude of this?...you look at 35 people being expelled, two sites being closed down, the question is, is that response in proportion to the actions taken? Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't but you have to think about that.”
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has reportedly decided to hold off on any responsive actions until the new administration is in place.
Reacting to that report, Donald Trump posted a tweet on Friday, "Great move on delay (by V. Putin) - I always knew he was very smart!"
A day prior, Trump had also issued a statement, “It’s time for our country to move on to bigger and better things. Nevertheless, in the interest of our country and its great people, I will meet with leaders of the intelligence community next week in order to be updated on the facts of this situation."
