Bollywood Fashion- May 2012, Week 1: Featuring Bipasha Basu, Malaika Arora And Others

1. Bipasha Basu: Bipasha Basu announced the IIFA Awards 2012 wearing a white Anamika Khanna sari, with silver and red border. Her royal blue corset blouse complemented the drape to the T and she rounded up her look with her hair tied into a bun, apt make-up and jewels from Amrapali.

2. Rani Mukerji: It was a Sabyasachi for Rani Mukerji at the Lonely Planets Awards. She wore the suit really well and thankfully didn't hide the embroidery on the attire with the 'dupatta'. Rani kept it simple with almost no jewellery, a small bindi and loose hair.

3. Kangana: Now this girl is surely upping her fashion game with her every appearance. Kangana Ranaut slipped into a beautiful pink Christian Dior dress, for the Provogue bash. She kept her make-up and accessories to a bare minimum and rounded up the look with nude sling backs.

4. Chitrangada: To unveil the latest edition of Vogue Chitragada Singh walked in wearing a lime green Rajat Tangri dress. Though we loved the freshness of the colour, the fit of the dress marred it for us. Adding pink shoes was a wise decision as the pop of the colour elevates the look further. Her blow dried, hair and sun kissed skin made her look beautiful.

5. Urmila: And the one designer Urmila Matondkar has been favouring a lot these days is Anita Dongre. Matondkar was spotted in three dresses by the designer and that too back to back. The voluminous black and white dress that she chose to wear at the 'I Am' success bash didn't flatter her petite frame at all and the fitting was also off, from the back. For yet another event she picked up a blue Anita Dongre ensemble with net detailing. Though she fared better than her previous appearance, this silhouette again didn't flatter her frame and the white accessories i.e. her bag and sandals, were too chunky for the look. She nailed it right with her third appearance at a fashion show. The pink and orange short number from AND accentuated her figure and she got almost everything right this time. Our only grouse is her gold sling bag.

6. Maliaka : It was a DVF jumpsuit for Malaika Arora Khan for Shilpa Shetty's baby shower. She teamed the floral printed romper with a yellow blazer, blue Balenciaga tote and Jimmy Choo wedges. Though she looked great, that bag looked too huge and doesn't go well with the look.

7. Neha Dhupia: Neha Dhupia opted for a printed H&M dress for Shilpa Shetty's baby shower. Though the dress in itself is not that bad it surely ain't favoring Ms. Dhupia, as it looked a size bigger on her. She kept her tresses open and teamed the garment with brown clutch and shoes. We didn't mind her clutch however, the loafers surely looked hideous. For the Lonely Planet Awards she chose a colour-blocked resort wear from Shivan and Narresh and we totally adored her look. She got her make-up and hairstyle right, teamed her outfit with black peep-toes. Aren't feeling much for her clutch though...

8. Esha Gupta : Newbie Esha Gupta wore a red Shantanu and Nikhil gown for 'Jannat 2' success bash. Though it was too much of red for us, she worked it well thanks to her exceptionally good figure, great height and that beautiful face. Side swept hair and a red pout completed her look.

9. Sameera: Sameera Reddy gave us a lot of variety in her recent outings. At the Provogue bash Sameera was spotted in a short ZARA number. Her accessories complemented the dress however, her make-up didn't do any justice to the fashionista. It was patchy and just not right. Ms. Reddy upped her ante when she graced Shilpa Shetty's baby shower in this bright Nikasha suit. We totally adored her fresh and radiant look and the coral sleeve on the yellow garment was a positive add-on. For this, the 'Tezz' girl receives a double thumbs-up from us.

10. Dia Mirza: Dia sported a black and white Mango dress, for the 'P&G Thank you, mom' event. Though the fit of the dress was not perfect she nevertheless looked radiant, as usual. Black peep-toes, chains on the neck and a hair band completed her look. Dia looked hot in this Shantanu and Nikhil creation but her tresses didn't allow us to see the neckline. The nude skirt was balanced perfectly by the red upper and she completed her look with nude sandals.
