Johny Hendricks fails to make weight at UFC 207 weigh-ins

Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks' weight-cutting struggles continued Thursday when he missed weight for the third time in the last 14 months. The prolific wrestler weighed in at 173.5 pounds for his 170-pound contest against Neil Magny at UFC 207 — 2.5 pounds over the division’s limit. Magny will receive 20 percent of Hendricks' purse and the fight will go on as scheduled. Hendricks' struggles date back to Oct. 2015 when he was hospitalized during his cut down to 171 pounds for a fight against Tyron Woodley. The Oklahoman then missed the mark earlier this year ahead of his UFC 200 loss to Kelvin Gastelum.
