Aamir Khan Invited To Parliament To Discuss Medical Issues

Aamir Khan who recently highlighted the malpractices in medical profession in an episode in his debut television show Satyamev Jayate, has been invited by a Parliamentary panel to interact on the issue.

The 47-year-old actor has been invited by Rajya Sabha MP Shanta Kumar, to share the knowledge he gained while researching on the issue.

Aamir, who showcased the ill practices prevalent in the medical profession in his show, irked the Indian Medical Association (IMA), which wanted him to apologise. However, Khan refused to do so.

Khan's show is creating the right buzz among the viewers and has already addressed issues like child sex abuse, female foeticide, domestic violence etc. Post the show Parliament passed a bill against child sex abuse and many state governments have taken strict actions against people involved in other social evils.
