Ranbir Kapoor Lends His Voice For A Song In 'Barfi!'

Actor Ranbir Kapoor has turned singer for his upcoming film Barfi!. The actor will be lending his voice to a song called Phataphati ('awesome' in Bengali). The first few lines of the song are in Bengali, while the rest are in Hindi.
The film's director Anurag Basu and the music director Pritam have also crooned for this particular track.
Anurag was quoted saying that they had recorded the song and shot the video a while back and that they released it only after they realized that it had turned out very well.
Basu added that the song will be available online and will be on air on television.
However, the song will not be featured in the film. Ranbir plays a deaf and mute person named Murphy in the film, which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz.
Barfi! is set to release on September 14.
