Bollywood's Holi tracks have always been a major hit with the audiences, be it Amitabh Bachchan's rang barse or Priyanka Chopra's let's play holi and now ace filmmaker Karan Johar has decided to cash in on the festival too.
KJo's upcoming flick Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has given Dharma Productions its very first Holi song, in the form of balam pichkari. At the first look launch of the film, Karan said, "I have celebrated a lot of festivals on the big screen be it Diwali, Karvachauth or anything. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani's song balam pichkari is Dharma Productions' first Holi song. I am eternally grateful to Ayaan, who gave us this opportunity to display Holi, in this beautiful and aesthetic manner on celluloid."
Directed by Ayaan Mukerji, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur and is slated to hit the theaters on May 31, 2013.
