A&E canceled its eight-part documentary series following Ku Klux Klan members after learning that some participants on the show were paid for their appearance. The network officially dropped the show, "Escaping the KKK: A Documentary Series Exposing Hate in America," on Saturday. The show, which intended to follow those who left the KKK, promised that no payments would be made to any participants. The network scrapped the show after discovering cash payments were given by third-party producers.
