Nisar briefs PM over Rangers raids in Karachi

ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has convened a meeting with Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday to brief him over raid of paramilitary force in Karachi today.
During the briefing, Interior Minister said that Rangers conducted raids on offices of an insurance company on basis of solid evidence.
The federal minister denied any political angle to the raids as Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) returned to the country today. Chaudhry Nisar deemed the clarification fit to be conveyed as the insurance company belongs to a close friend of Zardari.
The meeting also discussed overall security situation of the country.
