Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone Finalized For 'Shuddhi'

After winning hearts with Ram Leela, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to recreate the magic of their on-screen chemistry with Karan Johar's Shuddhi. Karan has reportedly finalized the duo for his ambitious project, which was earlier supposed to star Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Reportedly, Ranveer had a meeting with KJo and the director of the film, Karan Malhotra last week regarding the film and if sources are to be believed, then the Gunday star has given his consent to play the male lead however, he has not signed on the dotted line, yet. Interestingly, DeePee's name was being tossed around even when Kareena was still on board. Padukone will start shooting for Shuddhi only once she wraps up Happy New Year, Imtiaz Ali's next and Piku and Ranveer too is presently shooting for Shaad Ali's next and will then move on to Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. Shuddhi, which is reportedly a period reincarnation love story, is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.
