Singer Ankit Tiwari Arrested For Rape

Aashiqui 2 singer Ankit Tiwari and his brother Ankur Tiwari were arrested by the Mumbai police, on charges of raping and threatening a girl. The Versova police arrested the brothers, after the girl filed a complaint. The girl, is said to be Ankit's girlfriend. Rumours suggest that the two were in a long-term relationship, however the singer left the girl, once he found out she was pregnant. So far, this has been the 3rd case to have shamed Bollywood. Earlier actors Shiney Ahuja and Inder Kumar were arrested on charges on rape. While Shiney got acquitted and is looking forward for a fresh new start in films, Inder Kumar has been sent to judicial custody till 30th May. Ankit Tiwari, had shot to fame with his song Sun Raha Hai Tu from Aashiqui 2. He has even been awarded a Filmfare and an IIFA award.
