Varun Dhawan Landed Badlapur As He Likes Watching Breaking Bad, Fargo!

Varun Dhawan is all set to shed his chocolate boy image with Sriram Raghavan's Badlapur and the filmmaker has revealed that he connected with Varun as he likes watching Hollywood series like Fargo and Breaking Bad.

At the trailer launch, when asked why he selected Varun to play the lead, Raghavan said, ''When I spoke to him, I found that innocence in him and that hunger to do something different. In our industry many of our actors love to watch a certain type of movies and but do certain kind of films when they are working. So here there was chance for him to work in a kind of movie, which he also likes to watch. He likes watching series like Breaking Bad and Fargo so we just connected on that level. He said yes to the film after five days or so.''

Varun quipped, ''The script demanded me to grow my beard and look older so five days I think is justified (laughs).''

Varun will share screen space with Huma Qureshi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Yaami Gautam in the movie.
