Aamir Khan will be next seen playing a former wrestler named Mahavir Phogat in upcoming film Dangal, in which he will play a father to a couple of daughters and buzz has it that the makers have auditioned more than 21,000 girls for the role of the daughters.

A source attached to the film said, ''The casting team is having a tough time auditioning girls who can essay the role of his daughters. The team has been scouting and has auditioned more than 21,000 girls till now. However, they have not been able to sign anyone. It is a tough role. The girls need to be slightly athletic and willing to undergo strenuous training. The director of the film, Nitesh Tiwari is certain he does not want to cast someone from the industry. The casting has been going on since a couple of months. They are looking for fresh faces who have little or no former training in acting. So even when the team selects someone for auditioning, they have to give them time to prepare for the screen test, making the process even more challenging.''

Dangal is based on the life of a wrestling champion-turned-coach, who trains his daughters to become professional wrestlers.
