Director Dibakar Banerjee's detective thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy which features Sushant Singh Rajput as the iconic sleuth received rave reviews by audiences and critics alike. Encouraged by the response, we hear that he is playing with the thought of making a sequel.
We hear that Yash Raj Films head honcho Aditya Chopra is impressed by the film's box office earnings as it was pitted against popular Hollywood film franchise Furious 7 but still did well. Hence, they are planning to make a second film. The first movie spoke about Bakshy's first case while the second film will show him as a professional; having learned the tricks of the trade. At the moment, Sushant is busy preparing for his next project which is a biopic on MS Dhoni and has been recently signed on by Sajid Nadiadwala for an action film.
