Mourners hold vigil for 6-month anniversary of Pulse Nightclub shooting
  • 7 years ago
An emotional vigil took place at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, exactly six months after the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history. Survivors, employees and loved ones gathered at 2:02 a.m. -- the exact time that Omar Mateen went on a killing spree. The mass shooting left 49 people dead and more than 50 others wounded. City and county officials read the names of the victims during the memorial. An evening vigil was held at the Orange County History Center, with dozens of people present to pay respect to the victims and their families. A collection of mementos left at memorials following the attack is now on display at the Center.
