Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who recently had an unpleasant experience with the Indian judiciary with regards to the 2002 hit-and-run accident, now has some fresh trouble on his plate, it seems.

Buzz has it that Vijay Galani, the producer of Salman-starrer ‘Veer’, has sued Salman for a whopping sum of Rs. 250 crores. Confirming the news, Galani said that before shooting for the film, Galani had agreed to give Salman a signing amount of Rs 10 crores for Veer. Besides this amount, they had agreed that Salman would get Rs. 15 crores if and when there was an ‘overflow’ (profits made by the film). After Salman completed the film, Galani sold the film to Eros Entertainment, following which, Eros, Salman and Galani drew up a tri-party agreement that the first overflow amount of Rs 15 crores would go to Salman.

However, despite the fact that the film was a flop, Galani received a letter from Salman’s office in March 2010, demanding him to show the copy of the agreement letter and another letter in April, which said that Salman finds the ‘overflow agreement’ to be unacceptable. Reportedly, Salman also approached CINTAA (the Cine & TV Artistes Association) and got them to issue a non-cooperation letter against him.

Galani concluded that he has sued Salman for Rs. 250 crores as compensation for the mental agony and the harassment that he faced because of the non-cooperation letter that was issued against him.
