Struggling Los Angeles Rams fire head coach Jeff Fisher

The Rams fired head coach Jeff Fisher Monday afternoon after recently signing him to a two-year extension a few months ago. Fisher had been the team's head coach since 2012 and compiled a 31-45-1 record with no playoff appearances. I have great respect for Jeff as a coach, person, father and friend. However, this is the right time to make a change as our performance has not lived up to my or our fans' expectations. We all are focused on improving as an organization and building a team that makes Los Angeles proud. The decision comes on the eve of a 42-14 throttling in LA at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
