A US military communications satellite was successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on the night of Wednesday, December 7.According to Florida Today, the $425 million Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellite was the Air Force’s eighth spacecraft launched into orbit, bolstering the Department of Defense’s “much-needed” communications network in space.
